Pain

edited November 2008 in General Charlton
This is my first post so bear with me if points made before......

Yesterday was about as bad as it gets really and that is difficult to say after the Barnsley debacle, it really became quite surreal at times with mistake after mistake in the back four. Indeed we seemed to make mistakes for 4 of the Goals we conceded and Quinns was class. Which begs questions bout the back four in particular our Captain Mr Hudson. Could a new Manager please reinstate Holland as a regular and Captain and let Hudson concentrate on defending please

Thought we treated Weaver badly yesterday

As for the new appt I think we might see the internal appt we fear, but Curbs as an interim appt till end of Season really appeals to me personallly

Up he Addick

  • what about curbs comes and then stays around for half a season to make sure the flippin wheels dont come off again.....

When we think back to where we were .....

it has been an unceremonious slide ....

we have tried experience.... dowie(ish) then pards..... maybe now we need the internal, that has been successful before....

also as someone put it before..... WE HAVE NO MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Welcome to the site milne......
  • Pain! you're not wrong there milney. At the moment most Charlton supporters are walking about with their own little black cloud of depression above them which has lifted only slightly after AP's departure. You're miserable at home and Monday at work is hell: all those armchair T.V experts who cheer their local team such as United and Liverpool (not to mention the occassional spanner doing his bit in the sympathy stakes!). I work with some part-timers who turn up on Thursdays so as things might have died down a bit by Wednesday it starts all over again e.g "Did you go on Saturday then? 5-2 wasn't it?" Ho,ho, bloody ho. Well, that's got that off my chest, I feel a bit better now, the pub opens soon, where did I put my disguise?
  • This has been a pretty horrid time to be a Charlton fan but after the Barnsley game, I felt somewhat liberated because I had crossed into the Pards must go camp. I'm not overjoyed, just grimly content that what needed to happen has happened.
  • Totally agree Milney, I particularly agree with the Weaver comment, he most definately has not become a bad keeper overnight and It's reasonable to assume that given the dire state of our defence he has probably overstretched himself in his frustrations, coming out to clear and Halford's shot cannoning off the post was indicative of what pretty much everyone thought, Youga was dire and Weaver was so frustrated for good or evil decided to do his job for him.
I would stick with Nicky because he actually seems to give a toss and he can put this bad spell behind him.
