Quite amusing to observe that on SSN when viewers were encouraged to e-mail and text their opinions on Pardews demise who did the first message to be read out happen to come from??.....mmm, I wonder let me see....... it was from none other than Nigel Nigelson a Palace fan (of whom no one must ever feel that they have a rivalry with us but..) Nigel was quick to say that "Charlton should have stuck by Pards as without him they will be relegated"
Back in 2006 when Dowie was fired where did the first reaction come from?.... mmm..... let me see, ah of course The Tango man! he had to have his tuppence worth.
Strange but when Peter Taylor was busy leading Palace to certain doom and then was inevitably fired what were the majority of Charlton fans doing?? The Answer was not giving 2 shiny shites thats what.
So what do we have here? A club and its fans who care nothing for us racing to their Fisher Price My First Computers(tm) to e-mail Sky Sports Sensationalist news all ready to declare to the world how much they don't really care much for us! Uncanny isn't it? The same can be said of Millwall fans too. Reckon they "can't be bothered" to hate us, but nearly every Charlton forum I've evr been on is full of them.

I have Millwall fans all of a sudden writing on my facebook wall andcommenting on my status after yesterdays debacle, and the work palarse fan had the cheek to ring me at 4.48pm yesterday congratulating me on a 'fine' performance!!

Do you not suspect they were just doing that to stir up more controversy which would therefore provoke Charlton fans into texting in also? Seen it happen many times on SSN personally.

If I am honest though, a lot of Palace fans do hate Charlton a heck of a lot more since 2005. I just don't consider you a rival like Brighton though, beating them 5-0 or McAnuff in 94th minute is a euphoria I'll never get from us beating Charlton I doubt. When we were relegated at your place I was quite shocked at the scenes. Your fans were acting as if you'd won the Premiership and Champions League at the same time so you'll have to excuse us for smiling at your continued demise since Agent Dowie took over.

This subject has been done to death though, as has our shite home support and your shite away support!

Good luck for the season, I'd be shocked if Curbs came back as I fondly remember the majority of your fans wanting him out before but you could do a lot worse!

Of course Sky were shite stirring, they always do, you can never quite remove the Spitting Image pigs in rain macs with trilby hat image from dear ol' uncle rupe's empire. Shame on them for feeling the need to always present the Palace angle where all matters Charlton are concerned! I really do not imagine that when Sunset Yellow man has his next inevitable sacking duty to perform when he eventually falls out of love with Warnock that many Addicks will be sufficiently interested enough to pass comment anywhere.
