I hope 2 day

edited November 2008 in General Charlton
That all the CAFC peeps turning up and all in local lands and us in far off places really get the" turning point" that week in week out this season people say we have reached.
I hope Pardew repays the LOYALTY that 20,000 + people are showing by turning up at each home game.
I hope that he has leaned how to "pick his best team, and stick with it", and this team play to the collective ability that they have.
I hope we win by 2 clear goals and Varney gets em both.

but i also hope that if we dont win that Pardew does the right thing and packs his bags.

Good luck to all though as i think we will need it.

Yes I have never "voluntarily" missed a home game since I started supporting in 1972, only ones missed were weddings for close friends and family. I could never desert them, even more so when they really need our support.

I actually walked out of my brothers wedding reception some years back to attend a game at Sellhurst.....got a cab back there pretty quick though...but went on the 'missing list' for a couple of hours or so...he and the rest of the family forgave me...not sure his wife ever did though. Well she's more into quilting than football...the daft cow!
  • I'm 250 + miles away, looking at the pissing rain from my window.

God, I wish I was going to be at The Valley today!

Playing golf instead of going to the match - whatever for?

Yeah, I remember going to a home game against Notts C circa 1984 at The Valley and a good friend was getting married at 4.15 at that church on Blackheath. I went to the first half and called a cab at half time.LOL

Also, discharged myself from hospital once so I could go to a Sheff U home game at The Valley circa 1980.

I support CAFC whoever is the manager and whoever is playing.

    COME ON YOU REDS !
  • would never miss a game over golf, wouldn't miss that much over golf to be honest.
  • I'm looking out of my front windows at the sea and watching young kids having sailing lessons in the harbour. The suns out and I'm about to pick up my other half from yoga in about half an hour.

Honestly I would much rather be at The Valley this afternoon.
