But..... if you're a keeper and you slip it's a costly mistake(not an accident) for which you must be dropped...I really must remember to remember that.
What I don't understand with all these well kept professional pitches is why there is any need to wear anything other than studded boots? Sod blades, moulds, etc...They're properly watered, a lot even heated so it's not like a park on a Sunday morning after two days of zero degrees where its rock hard.
I doubt they wear the same pair of boots for more than 10 games at a time so the studs are going to be nice n long for good grip. Why does anyone EVER fall over? I can't remember the last time I slipped while playing & some of the pitches I've played on are shocking!
