What about Jamie Cureton?

After reading around I hear he is unhappy being a bench warmer at Norwich and will consider a loan switch in order for some first team football, personally I think this would be a great move for us, what do u all think?

  • SE7......I'd have thought if he can't get a look in at Norwich then he's hardly gonna set things alight at The Valley. Wouldn't 'rock my boat' if we took him on.

Fair play sound, but lets be honest he's as good a goalscorer as we've got, if not better, Andy Gray: inconsistent, Bouazza: great, but Pards doesn't seem to favour him, Varney: tries hard, way too inconsistent and not a goalscorer, Dickson: Doesn't play enough, Izzy: Shit, I think he would be better than this Sunderland lad we have just got
  • Not another has-been please.

Cureton has a decent record of scoring goals at this level. Getting him on loan would make more sense than an untested youngster who has never scored a league goal at any professional level.
  • not getting in one team doesn't always make a bad signing for another - may be various reasons behind it like style of play etc
remember danny mills was in norwich reserves when we signed him ;-)
  • And Mike Small, he was pretty good.
  • I've often wondered why Cureton has never really "made it". He's always scored plenty of goals, but never seemed to find the success of his old strike partner Jason Roberts.
  • ecellent goalscorer at this level - him and Iwelumo at colchester were fanrastic
