  • though he is playing with his arm in a sling, two crutches, a bandage round his forehead, two knee supports and a plaster on a paper cut !
  • he's playing from germany via a live satellite feed

    If that's Dicko's excuse, what's Varney's?
  • I see Harte and Powell are playing again.
  • Racon and Fortune back, too. The latter very welcome, I think. Three games in eight days coming up from the Shed U match and can't see anyway Primus will play all of them. Fortune's return offers us good cover.
  • How long has Primus got left with us anyway? or Craine for that matter, If fortune isnt fully fit by then we are in big trouble with Hudson (as good as he's been) on his own at Centre back. Think Pardews loan priority must be a Centre back? I know Semedo can play there and we can re-jig the back line but we need to sign a centre back.
  • More excited about Racon and Fortune but good luck Dickson. Show them you can do a better job than Waghorn
  • Great to hear Racon is back...hope he gets match fit soon

Well my gut instinct tells me Tony Adams is not going to want him back. By Linvoy's own admission he hasn't been on the blower saying 'I need you back here as soon as your loan is over because you are central to my plans for Pompey's world domination'. I suspect we will be offered him first on an extended loan and then a full transfer in January. At his age the fee will be minimal so it will be all about wages, I guess...

Cranie will be returning , for sure. He's a young and promising defender. And if there's one thing Adams prides himself on, it's got to be taking young and promising defenders and turning them into class acts.

  • Can see Primus coming on loan until the end of the season in January.

Does he? Where did he do that before then? Certainly not at Wycombe and he's not had time to do it at Pompey.

    Henry,

I didn't mean on his track record as a manager, but on his playing days as one of them (even though I recall shouting 'donkey' every time he touched the ball when we played against the Arsenal!)

If he thinks he has any merit as a manager, it has to be built around creating a great back four. That's what he knows about, obviously, and that's what I meant...
  • Cranie is on season long loan, which probably means he could go back in January, Primus is up after the derby game. I think he was the only one who realistically thought he would be in Pompeys plans even before Harry left
  • Right Chaps we are 2-0 up Uncle is texting me details,Jonjo got the first and Dickson the second, via a outstretched crutch ;-)
  • Wright Basey and Jonjo playin well in midfield,Jonjo just put Dickson clean through but he fell over, damn crutch.
  • 2-2 unstoppable 30 yarder top corner
  • 2-3 down at half time free header from corner, just like the first team
