How far would you travel

I met a dejected looking chap late on Saturday night who had just arrived back from seeing his team Sheff Wed get stuffed by Derby - he lives in S London and travels to every Wednesday game, home and away...It made me wonder, if i moved out of London, how far away would I have to move before the appeal of going to each home game dissapeared and I stopped buying a season ticket and just came to the occasional game. I reckon about Birmingham would be my limit although i know a lot of people out there travel much further...what does everyone else think?

  • Not matter where i lived i would always get a season, as long as it was in the UK, i takes me three hours round trip from where i live at the moment to go and see them.
  • A few of us on here know an everton st holder who lives and works during the week in london and goes to every everton game, home/away and europe.
  • I know a Glasgow Rangers fan who lives in SE London who travels most home games, and a lot of aways as well.
  • over land and sea
  • I know a Sheff Utd fan with a ST, hasn't missed a home game this season. Not sure how long it takes him to travel up from Bournemouth but can't be fun with their current form.
  • bournemouth to sheffield FOOK THAT.

Sheffield to Charlton. Isn't that what Charlie Block does?

Maybe some of his excesses are understandable even if one (almost always) disagrees if he makes that journey every other week to watch what is on offer.

Careful Len. Don't lend his ill-conceived diatribes an air of legitimacy...

  • Welling to charlton feels far enough, considering ive had to walk home the last 3 or so games.
