If Southampton get a goalscorer in they are the best equppied they play vibrant football full of energy with young players in the matches i have seen them brizzle city and qpr on the box they play lovely football.
Donny Rovers looked quite good on TV in the 5.30pm live game on Sat.
Of course, playing nice football does not mean anything in this division. But at the moment, I'd probably go for Forest and Watford to go down with AN OTHER.
We are certainly not too good to be AN OTHER and we'd better not start thinking we are. With almost 40 per cent of the season gone, any team which is averaging less than a point a game is most definitely deep in the brown stuff...
according the some papers I've read today pardew doesn't think we are in a relagation scrap "yet" - I have new for him........look at the bl**dy table !!!
We are 1 point off 3rd bottom and 6 points off mid table (22 points).
Even if we win our next game we only move 1 place - we will need at least 2 wins from the next 3 games to get away from the strugglers as Norwich play Forest next week then I think Donny play Forest the week after.

[cite]Posted By: northstandsteve[/cite]well what a stupid bloody comment look at your calender it not March
how is that stupid? he told pards to look at the table, i told him to look at his calander. we're not in a relegation 'scrap' yet. we've still got over half the season to go!
[cite]Posted By: northstandsteve[/cite]tell you what let's not bovver worrying until march it dont matter if we dont win games until then
yep, christ, you keep going the way some of you are going as if the world is going to end then you won't be here to panic with me in march. we nearly won last week, we nearly won at the weekend, christ, imagine if we actually won this weekend, you might actually calm down!!!
Everyboy wants Mr Pardew to turn it around. The only division I discern among Lifers is between those who still have faith that he can do it and those who have lost faith in his ability to paddle us back up the creek he has shunted us down.
If he does turn it around, those of us in the latter category will be delighted to be proved wrong.
I'm not sure tetchy comments about Mr Pardew's critics wanting Charlton to lose in order to hasten his departure help ( I was told yesterday that I was ''desperate'' for his head , when all I'm desperate for is for Charlton to start winning).
He won brownie points for his mea culpa at the NW Kent meeting. I'm not quite sure why he's seemingly gone back into denial over the magnitude of the scrap for survival we are now undoubtedly in. Perhaps his lawyers have had a quiet word and told him to tone down the admissions of failure in case it comes to a scrap not over relegaton but over his pay-off.
Yer Rothko coz Zabeel were going to buy us coz the dome is half empty and coz of the credit crunch the casino thing is going to get passed and all arabs want to come to london and then they will get a package go and see a concert,go charlton and then go to the casino, yep mate now that is feckin comedy.
[cite]Posted By: northstandsteve[/cite]just keep in your little group and back each other up and tell each other everything will be fine, and if it aint deny you ever said it.
There is no need to be condescending. we all know you don't agree with me and the others that are keeping with the club. I don't see the point in replying to my every comment when we all know what you are going to say. I will continue with what I believe - I don't have a little group - I have my own thoughts and don't know who is with me or not in my belief, I'm just being positive, always will be whether it is about football or life, or whatever, and I'm happy to shrug my shoulders and say "oh well" if it does go wrong, i won't deny ever being positive about the club I want to do well and believe that it will come good.
[cite]Posted By: nigel w[/cite]''we nearly won last week, we nearly won at the weekend...''
Mmm. On that basis come next May we could well be saying '''and we nearly stayed up''.
yep, turn a positive into a negative. I think some people should go back and read off_its post about how petty this all seems. I honestly believe some of you might smile a bit more if you cheered up and realised that its not the be all and end all.

Suzi, i know it wasn't directed at me, but please don't bracket those who have serious concerns for the clubs future as 'not keeping with the club'. That may be misworded, but it couldn't be more further from the truth. You may have an opposite view, but it doesn't mean the other side does not care.
sorry didn't mean those that were abandoning ship completely, i know we all care, i meant given up as far as thinking we'll be relegated. end of story. keeping with the club, i meant sticking with the belief that we'll be alright.
Comments
we are showing signs of turning it round
Watford have less money to spend than we have
I think we'll be ok...just
Donny and Forest to pull clear.
Just above us in the table are Palace/Coventry/Norwich. All Prem clubs not so long ago.
and just below us are Leicester and Leeds, also Prem teams not so long ago.

Of course, cause that's what everyone wants

No it's bloody march, and no we're not in a relegation battle yet. Which is what Suz said.
Anyway, where's the latest paranoia about West Ham and Zabeel, need some comedy

No need for sarcasm because someone has an opposite view to you
thanks
