[cite]Posted By: Harry Monk[/cite]This takes me back to the game at home when we was beaten by spurs, what an atmosphere, when defoe scored you couldnt even hear the away fans in the north upper, that game made the hairs on the back of my head stand up,
I was so proud to go out singing even though we had just been relegated.
Thats the sort of support thats needed on saturday, i will be giving it my all.
That was an amazing atmosphere. Would be quality to get that back. Just shows how great we can make the valley when we all really want it together.
[cite]Posted By: AFKABartram[/cite]Dave, its a great sentiment and i applaud your mentality and approach.
But anyone who is a regular on here will know i've tried countless rousing rallying calls over the last few years, and its got us absolutely nowhere. As someone in the stand, i give my all every game and do everything i can to be supportive. But at the moment i just feel completely exhausted with it all. I can't give any more than i already do and to be honest i feel it makes zero difference, and i'm going through a completely disenchanted stage.
I feel as a club we are almost 'accepting' this current decline, and its not making me angry, more a disappointed reluctance.
Virtually every key level of the club in my eyes is not right at the moment and i fear desperately where it is leading. We have gone too long without a manager taking a real grip and influence on the side he puts out, and at the same time an un-cordinated top level of the club reluctant to show who is really in charge. This club is crying out for some strong direction, but no matter how much i like, admire and respect those involved, decision-making on effectively a committee basis is starting to impact on the overall picture.
Sorry to be down about it all, you know its not my normal approach, but at the moment i'm feeling particularly empty despite reports of improved performances. Lets just all hope i'm proved wrong.
Dan....Sums up how I feel exactly....I dont ever remember feeling this way about Charlton.....even been thinking about not going.....Ive been offered and Im not kidding....5 season tickets and 3 hospitality comps.....and I have to say I really hate feeling this way.....asked a few pals if they want the freebies and all have just laughed and said they had better things to do....god this is depressing.
Cant go as my mate is opening his 1st pub on Saturday and needs me to help out (hopefully by drinking lots, buit think I might be working behind the ramp).
Am I committed to CAFC...Of course....Am I finding myself not being as bothered about missing games as I used to be..Yes.
Its not the results / level we're playing at, God knows Ive seen much worse, its the lack of effort and heart displayed. I think its finally got to me and now I just cant be as arsed.
I hope Mr Batram, when you say you will be the loudest in your section, you are not referring to M Block as a whole as myself NLA Boogica KB & KB'Slittlesis, may have something to say about that, not forgetting Littlesis's husband when him and Boogica are avin a barnie ;-)
It's not just time to stand up on Sat : don't forget that it is the start of an eight day period in which nine points are up for grabs.
If we get seven points, joy unconfined. If we get two points then that's just one win in the last 14 and it has to be time for a change... any points total in between, and it's probably still in flux...
Respect BDL, it is like the Reading game, when they scored the Hunt penalty we only got louder and look what happened, it was perhaps the best Charlton game i hav been to since Chelsea, in 03/04 boxing day, but the only question is whether or not we get behind them for 90 minutes, will they do the job?
BDL, fair play to you mate. yeah reading was quality SE7 although i got there like 20 minutes late :-( HAHA.. i'll be on my feet saturday Score predictions?
