[quote][cite]Posted By: addick1965[/cite]Sorry Adam but these sort of players can not find a club for a reason,if this is the sort of player Pards is thinking of bringing in you find more people getting a tad upset[/quote]
I think that some people need to take a reality check. This is the level we have to do business at now. I'm sure that Pardew doesn't like it any more than we do but when you don't have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out there isn't much else you can do.
Remember a player without a club can be signed permanently outside the transfer window.
I guess Pards is looking for mature players with top level experience that are still hungry for a last chance.
Providing they are quick enough and fit enough to do the job.

Well if thats whats going to happen then so be it..it's just very disheartning to think this is all we can get...
[cite]Posted By: WSS[/cite]But Kinsella would be a great manager of the first team...
I believe it was on here last week that Kins doesn't get much say with regards the formation and tactics - thats down to our resident tactical mastermind Pards
I've yet to see a Charlton striker with more class and style than Peter Osgood. Killer was a better finisher but Ossie had the all-round game and was a pleasure to watch week in week out whether he scored or not. Top bloke too.
Ian Harte - In two minds about this. When we signed Mark Bowen, I tought why have we signed this old, past his best, donkey. BUT he turned out to be an inspired signing. Maybe Ian Harte could be our new Mark Bowen, who knows?
"I just want to play football. I would be happy to play Championship or First Division football. Or even push trolleys around asda car park." said Harte yesterday to his local job centre.
Good signing for them IMO, bit lot of experience for them, takes a blinding free kick and with Francis bombing forward on the other side* won't be expected to get forward much and can concentrate on defending and organising the back four.
I'd be surprised if he plays, reckon he'll be cover most of the season. If he does stick Harriott on the right, he'll tear him a new one with his pace.
As an Irishman, loved Harte for his free-kicks and pens when playing for Ireland. However...he's not exactly gifted at defending (go figure, for a defender) and I would be very happy to see Callum up against him on August 3rd!
Looks like his made a deal with Bournemouth! shame as we could have done a lot worse than have Harte on a free for the year, same with Kevin Phillips.
No chance. I'd rather we put Solly at LB if Wiggo is out. Harte is too old. As a defender you get caught out a lot more for the lack of pace than a striker (phillips)

Good player in his time but simply too slow these days.
Careful, buckshee - Pards'll be signing him up on loan...experienced, in form, cheap...;-)
Rather someone who has been there and done that wears teh t shirt than lower league players thata re cheap and never played football at this level
;-)
Having been dumped by Blackpool over fitness he was on the verge of joining St Mirren until suddenly he had a change of ... tact.

Change that to centre back now.
