Just phoned QPR...in shock!!

edited November 2008 in General Charlton
Considering the outrageous price of the ticket to sit in that dump of an away supporters stand(where you can't even see the goal line), I thought I might just treat myself to their hospitality suite deal.
Cost....£170!!!! Yes I did say £170.That's an f'ing pizz take of the first order don't you think....I'm simply gob smacked!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • How much is it at Charlton?
  • i just won a pair of hospitality tickets at an auction, chose a game we MIGHT actually win, against Doncaster. Wonder if Pardew will still be there by March

    £95.00 Bart.
  • What did you expect from a club that was charging £40 a ticket at the start of the season, and when Man U called them to ask if it was ok for the tickets to be reduced for the cup tie this week from £40 to £15 , in which QPR informed Man U that they wanted the full rate to be charged for the match, this is a cub that is openly prepared to fleece there own fans,

That's very interesting, although it's not quite how it works. The clubs have to agree, but QPR don't get to veto United's preference. If they are unable to agree there is an arbitration process that usually splits things down the middle.

League prices might be a consideration in this but there is no assumption that they are the norm for cup games.

Well the story i heard is the one mentioned, Man u wanted to reduce the price for the game as they felt it wasnt such an attractive fixture, when consulting QPR they did not want the prices for the match to be cut and kept at the normal price, i dont think it was a case they couldnt agree, QPR said no and Man u agreed

I think i'd rather pay £170 to not sit anywhere near Gold and Sullivan.
