Soudas - From afar it sounds like he's played absolute sh**e the last half a dozen games..... never feel comfortable with him in the side. Think he's a mistake waiting to happen.
Saying that.. he could be having a stormer today. I've just woke up.
Apparently Hudson was also booked during the 1st half, so that's 3 on a yellow after 45 mins. We argued with pretty much every referee's decision apparently. Doesn't sound a happy place for the visitors so far today. We have to change something now, or it's going to be another rotten defeat. We came back last year though, and Plymouth sound a very, very average team. We've just got to get out there & give them a game for god's sake!

he should have gone last week....this is bollox.....
Got a good view from there then have you?
listening to commentary....no excuse for the lack of marking from set pieces especially as it was our demise last week....poor coaching
Or simply good coaching but with players who are either not doing what they're told or players who are incapable of doing what they're told...who knows???
[cite]Posted By: trickyrickycafc[/cite]Personally I don't think that players at this level should need to be told constantly to "mark your man" and "don't let your man get away from you".
As guilty as Pardew maybe in this mess, a certain amount of blame needs to be placed on players simply not doing their job.
Confidence or no confidence, a player playing in the championship should know how to stick with their f'ing man at a corner/free kick.

They probably are average Pete....but we have been 'less' than average just about all this season....so that reasoning(though I take your point mate) is hardly applicable with this current side.

True as you say its the players responsibility on the pitch......

Exactly SoundAs. We spend all week practising defending set-pieces, then some idiot loses his man and it's the coach's fault!!!
Interesting shift detectable here after Pardew's mea culpa in the week. Blame palpably shifting in people's minds from the manager to the players.
And I agree. TrickyRicky is so right. I mean, the manager does not tell them to lose their man at corners, right? That can only be down to their inability to concentrate or whatever it is.
Just don't forget who bought the players and assembled the team, though!
