If you want ridiculous phone-in topics, look no further than Jeremy Vine on Radio 2 at lunchtimes (pretty much every day) and increasingly R5Live at 9am.

Talk about phone-ins for phone-ins sake. FFS!!!

Ecclestone's comments were a disgrace, nice to hear the new World Champion of the sport he owns come out and put him in his place...presumably a very small one!

As for the phone in, what has Obama done so far? He's not even in power yet! Not sure why people shouldn't like the USA in the first place personally, probably a lot to do with the media.

Re Ecclestone this is going to get big. paul Elloit has been on the radio and saying the guy should go, also calls to QPR saying he should be removed from their Board. Good point made --- was if this was one of his players geting it off oppo fans would he still say its just fun ?

Along those lines tho , footie fans would have been banned and nicked already !
