Serious Question: Did AP get a pay off from West Ham?

I don't want to get onto dodgy ground about specific circumstances here, but was just wondering. All the reports say he was sacked. Did he attempt to contest this and get a pay off?

    yes he did......

    im sure he did.. he probably earnt a few million that year.....with siginging on fee...

    he would have been paid out BECAUSE h got sacked......

    I recall at the time speculation that he may not take the Charlton job because he had just had a £1M payoff. No idea if that was correct though. I would say that he would have done though.
