I prsonally think we'd still have 1500 more than a lot of clubs in this league! at one game we were reported to have some 90,000 fans at a game dunno who against?
I realised that all season ticket holders are counted, whether they turn up or not, and that we give out complimentary tickets to keep up the numbers, but he's admitting that when we give out the complimentaries, they are less likely to turn up than those who have paid for their tickets, but ALL those tickets issued get counted.
There's a fair argument for including ST holders, who have paid after all, but surely not for including people that have been given a free ticket that they don't want, and aren't going to use it anyway.
Our real attendances must be well below 20K now, with further to fall until Pardew goes.
I remember that last year Colchester published 2 figures when we played there - the official attendance and the number actually there (something like 6,000 and 5,500). Why can't we do that?

In the 70's it was 1500 more than we said it was - alledgedly.
