Just say, he makes a few shrewd loan signings and we go on a little run, which takes us out of danger and a couple of points off of a play off place. Would you give him another chance or for you has he had enough chances?
I'd gladly give him another chance but most of his loan signings have been far from shrewd (Sinclair, Cook, Primus, Cranie, Halford, Bouazza etc) and we haven't won back to back games for nearly a year so the possibility of 'a little run' is slim to nothing.
[cite]Posted By: pickwick[/cite]Yeah right what is the evidence he can be shrewd - he may be lucky - LUCKY seems to be the best description of his career in management so far...
I guess shrewd was not a word that I should have used in connection to Pards. I was just interested to see if we did go on a run then would we get behind him, I think I probably would.

what like greg halford, scott sinclair and lee cook you mean
As I said he lost me with his I got to play my best team comment. He has to take this team on a 10 -12 unbeaten run to turn me back

Well it's about as likely as Obama putting Sarah Palin in charge of the US economic recovery. Purely hypothetically, though, one would then support him because the 'Pardew out' campaign is not based on hatred of the man. It's based on love of our club.
But consider. We are currently ten points off the pace. To be just two points off would probably mean winning , say, six of our next seven games as you can't expect everybody else to kindly lose while we play catch-up (and there are so many teams above us, if some are losing it means others are winning).
But if when Derby come to the Valley ten days before Xmas and we are on, say, 33 points and in eighth place, obviously the guy has bought himself time. To the end of the season, probably.
But sadly, it's all a pipe dream. And that's with something very strong and illegal in your pipe, too.
Six consecutive wins would not change my mind about him, he is a very arrogant man who thinks us fans are really all gullible enough to believe his weekly spin on the latest defeat. A manager should be judged on results & his signings & his quite frankly hyave been way way below par.

[cite]Posted By: AFKABartram[/cite]Yes he has lost my support. I am very concerned about what the consequences will have on both our long-term and short-term future.
However, if he stays, if results turn around, then no one will be more delighted than me and i'll happily state i was wrong.
But as things stand at the moment, i think there are greater risks attached to him staying than going.
exactly my thoughts. I reckon we'll get a result on Saturday, he'll have saved his bacon in the short term, but it'll only give him a bit more time until the inevitable happens.
I would be delighted if he turns it around. However, I have been saying that for a year now and my patience has run out. In the pub last night, we were trying to tally the number of decent performances under his tenure - not games where we scrapped home, but games where we played well, bossed the game and came out worthy winners. We managed a debatable 4 or 5 .................
West Ham
Palace at home last year
Coventry
Reading this year.
Absolutely appalling given some of the opposition that we have faced ................
Pardew is likely to close up shop, play ultra-defensively, hoping to hit on the break and it is not unlikely that we might pick up unlikely points. The bottom line is that we aren't going to play cohesive football that fans will pay to watch. Goodbye AP.

Yeah, I think that sums it up nicely.
