"Ok, I've listened to your ideas and I've not liked a single one!"

edited November 2008 in General Charlton
They may have been the words that the fictional head of BBC programming uttered to an increasingly desperate Alan Partridge but I think they are equally appropriate for our very own delusional Alan.....
As he now wants to make a series of (drum roll please ......loan signings........... this will really settle down a team which is already low on confidence lacking consistency, whats needed is consistancy of selection-nurturing some of own players ala Josh Wright Jonjo etc, these are the increasingly desperate attempts from a man who has come to the end of his credibility now, his loan signings are at best hit and hope (like his tactics). Coming as it also does from a man who thought we only lost to Barnsley because Linvoy Primus was unavailable!
Knock knock, is this man listening??? Is he on planet earth at all? Is he so thick skinned that he can ignore the clamour for his departure. Please please go

  • Always liked Pardew but ever since he criticised the fans for the Clapping Dean Kiely in the FA Cup against West Brom last year he's spoken utter garbage. I cringed when he's interviewed now especially considering we're losing week in week out.
  • You are onto something there SS, his condition really did start to become apparent from that very point onwards
  • good analogy, Pardew is CAFC's Alan Partridge, deluded in the face of a career in terminal decline and not being able to see that he and his (lack of?) ideas is the problem.
  • Nice one :-)
  • Bang on Steve
