He would do a great job as Lennie did.He loves the club and has the passion we need to get out of this mess. And more than anything else he's one of us.
My mate is KP nephew and he wouldnt touch any managerial job, he is devoted to his family and wouldnt want the long hours and pressure that come with it

No, while he might be OK as an interim manager we need someone from outside the club to come in and shake things up. KP as manager could be another Les Reed.
Les Reed was an excellent coach but not a manager and that is why it didn't work. Nothing wrong in principle with promoting from within. I give you Lennie Lawrence and Alan Curbishley as two examples where it has worked.
Keith Peacock is a manager and a good one but would he want the grief at 63 years old?
If we promote from within Gritty would be my choice if he wants it with Kinsella /Chris Powell as number 2.
Promoting from within is fine if you are a) on the up and have a god candidate in the back room, or b) have no money (as was the case with Lennie and the Curbs/Gritt appointments) when there is little alternative. No one doubts Les Red's coaching credentials but an insider taking the club over when results weren't going our way resulted in one win, too many defeats and put us in a position where relegation became inevitable.
I'd rather we got someone new in - as Spurs did with Redknapp, someone who has no baggage and has one objective - to get us out the relegation mire and into mid-table and then push for promotion in year two. That has to be an outsider, the job needs that kind of perspective.

I wouldn't want him to have it, purely because we all love the guy and the possibility of seeing him go through what Les Reed went through would be too much.
Some people should be remembered only as club heroes, and KP is at the top of the list. Whatever he may or may not do, playing at being manager would risk this. Someone was on here the other day calling Darren Bent a traitor, what might jokers like that say if KP was the manager that took as down?
Keith with Kins as No2 would be the way to go IMO, until the end of the season. The pair of them can steady the team again, keep us up, and then push on from there.
He may not want the job, but if you don't ask.....

Who would you suggest?
He had a lengthy and successful spell with Gillingham, and also QPR and Maidstone United when they were a League club.
Don't forget, he is 63 next birthday - and quite possibly no longer wants the stress and exhaustion of the job.
Not recently though were they? I don't think Peacock is the answer, and probably wouldn't want it.
(a) best remembered as a legend on the pitch
(b) probably an excellent coach but maybe not so much a manager

I'm not sure even Jesus can save us now....:-)
But we already have Linvoy and there doesn't appear to have been any Divine intervention.
