  • So he goes on about stability and then says:

"get ourselves into a stable position then see where we are and address it in the next window."

    Idiot.
  • Get that idot out of our club now..............before he totally destroys it
  • “Whatever we did today, whatever good moment we did have in the game"

ha, we're three nil down to Barcelona Barnsley, and he starts looking for good moments !

"I'm not going to name any individuals or talk about any individuals"

    I will, Alan Pardew.

    Idiot
  • He is like my 5 year old daughter unable to grasp the concept that he cannot have everything he wants! Murray etc should tell him it is your your squad work with it!
  • the guy's a plum. Some of the comments there are cringeworthy.
  • Never read so many contradictions in so few paragraphs.
If he means what he says, then I really do feel sorry for him because he really is clueless.

There was a brilliant contradiction in his programme notes on Saturday.

Can't remember 100%, but he starts off by saying the apprehension of the crowd affected the players in the 1st half of the Burnley game......

....and he ends by saying that the crowd were brilliant, particularly in the first half when we needed them !!!
  • “I'm confident that this team, even with the squad we have now, won't be relegated". Well i'm glad you're confident Alan, cos with you in charge we will definitely be going down.

"We were a bit unlucky today in having Linvoy not available from Thursday". So the lack of confidence throughout the team, lack of creativity, lack of goals, lack of anything, is down to an on loan, ageing, injury prone defender not being available. Nice one Alan.

"In the Championship, you have to be big enough and strong enough to have a platform to play from and we didn't have that today.” Today! We haven't had that for months you idiot.
  • Who was it said the only difference between comedy and tragedy is timing?

Under other circs, you'd read this nonsense and fall off your chair laughing.

In the current desperate straits, it just makes want to cry...
  • He's getting like the 'Iraqi Minister for Information' ... Iraqi Alan

Yeh, but he was funny. Pardew isn't.

    I noticed that.
  • pards is so stubborn he goes on about everyone and everything else he should take agood look at himself ,he got the players in he picks the team and he is the one who is supposed to motivate the players i dont like pards but if he is staying i just hope he gets us out of this bloody mess ?
  • Pardew said: “I'm confident that this team, even with the squad we have now, won't be relegated.

It's your squad mate! You bought them.

“It has been a difficult season from the Reading result really, where I felt we really had a side which was going to threaten this division".

So why did you bloody change it then ?

“In the Championship, you have to be big enough and strong enough to have a platform to play from and we didn't have that today.”

We've known this since Stoke away at the start of last season. So why is it you still haven't addressed the problem then?
  • Spot on, Queensland. Absolutely idiotic. He can't even think straight any more, so how's he going to communicate anything sensible to the team?

It has suddenly occured to me that he's been riding on our collective horror of the Dowie/Uncle Les fiasco for a long time now.

Had it not been for that double dose of trauma and our resulting belief that 'stability' had become the over-riding requirement, I think the pressure would have been irresistible for him to go at the end of last season when he screwed up with one of the best and highest-paid squads in the championship.
  • he is doing it deliberately, going through the motions in order to get a massive pay off...he really really doesn't give a toss about destroying our club.
  • [cite]Pardew[/cite]I'm confident that this team, even with the squad we have now, won't be relegated.

I'm speechless, the guy has lost the plot and I haven't read past his first quote.

He's got to stop blaming it on one or two players being missing. He built this squad, even if he didn't have as much money as he would have liked, we should have enough cover in every position.
  • I have been away this weekend but rothko , for 37 minutes, and henry text me how shit we were.

then astonishingly in the papr next day Pardew comes up with the tosh about "i will have to play my best team from now" is he for effing real.

I have always been willing to give him time but he's got to go and he;s should resgin and forfiet any poxy pay off cos the c*** doesn't deserve a fiver.
  • All this Primus stuff is ridiculous-he said in his programme notes on Saturday that the only players that he wouldn't drop at the moment are Weaver, Hudson, Bailey and Cranie and given that Cranie is rubbish at full-back and that Linvoy hasn't started the last two games, he would only have been a sub at best anyway.

Do you think he's trying to convince us or himself when he comes out with all this tosh?

  • I think Pardew is like a rabbit in headlights, he does not know what to say and who to say it to.

Quite simple cure really and it's not what the board can do but what we can do...

He won't be sacked until we are totally out of contension to reach the play offs.

at the mo we have no paddle and the valley is turning into shit creek!
  • Nice pic : doesn't look like shit creek to me at all, but I can see lots of long grass into which we should kick the manager.

I've just noticed the article is headlined 'Pards accepts the flak'.

Is that meant to be ironic? Because when you read the text, it becomes obvious that he's actually still in a state of total denial.
  • Nope, the headline is for real Nigel

next time you interview Pards - can you just ask when he is going to resign? not if, when!

one thing that annoys me a bout all mediums of journos is do you actually ask the tough questions i am not aiming this criticism at you bud far from it.

But if i was at one of his press confrences it would be

Why have you dropped the strongest players from the result Tuesday?

Why are you percivering with Varney?

What do you think of the crticism that is all aimed at you?

    Why wont you walk away?

Do you feel you have achieved your mandate at charlton?

    Why not?

If you feel that you have not achieved your mandate would it not be better to just move on and let the board try something new?
  • I see that he´s still going on about ZZ being a loss, even though he was working on the premise since before the start of the season that he was going to be sold.

And we´re vulnerable at set plays? No sh*t, Sherlock.

And then there´s the usual mention of ´character´, which we haven´t had with any sort of consistency for months and months.

    Different day, same old excuses.

hear hear!! Newshopper - i'll buy you a beer for every one of those you get an answer for!
  • Newshopper why dont you ask him How can he continue to work in place where he is hated by so many and doing such an awful job, in any other employment regardless where it was if a manager was performing to such a poor standard he would get the chop, ask him does he not feel he should do the honourable thing, not for his sake, or the boards sake, or even the players who he has completely lost and drained and sapped every bit of confidence and ability out of, but the poor sods sitting in the freezing cold, as it teamed down with rain, because your eago maybe getting in the way of truth, which is you have burnt all your bridges and there is no going back, so in the interests of CHarlton Athletic Football Club please go. The club has been around longer than you, and will remain to do so long after you have left.

Newsshopper just as an idea, why dont you invite Pardew to do a questions and answers interview, could e interesting, you as a rag would get alot of readership, Pardew may save himself and get a bit respect as well as alot of loyal fans who have battled for decades to get this club to where it is today can be frank and honest in their opinions of him

LOL no loaded questions there then. "Why won't you walk away?"

Local journo's have to stay in with the local football team managers so can't see Paul being quite that strong.
  • If the rag had any sense as i said Henry they could and should do it with as a PR exercise with the fans in the area and let them ask the questions in which he responds too...........i bet he wouldnt have the guts to do it though
