My thoughts are this,
Stick with Pards, hes had some bad luck: Hes made some bad decisions: We cannot afford to get rid and I still belive he is a good manager and has the full respect of the players, The next match will tell us alot.
But what I want to know is your team to pick and stick with for the next 6-8 games to get us out of this mess, lets see how different this is to pards team
for me its
Weaver
MOo2
Hudson
Primus
Basey
Holland
Semedo
Wright
Bouzza
Varney
Todorov
Lets all pull together now and stick with what we've got. I think good times are coming maybe not for a while but they'll come

He has mud in his eyes if he still thinks Pards is a good manager who's had some bad luck!
We had a left back playing in midfield (Basey) who had clearly been told that his main duty was to protect the guy playing in his position (Crainie) rather than to add width to the attack by getting forward. There was a total lack of confidence in the side with Bailey, Ambose and Wright playing as if they'd never trained with each other and totally unsure as to what their respective roles were. We had a forward (McCleod) who was so lacking in fitness that he hasn't been sighted since being taken off at half time. Yes things did improve in the second half but that was as much to do with the fact that Burnley sat back and invited us on as the changes forced upon Pardew.
The first half display served to explain why we've scored so few goals. A negative attitude coupled with selecting players either woefully out of form or out of position can only end up becoming a self fulfilling prophecy. And that prophecy has become the norm week in week out judging by the stats and from what I've read on here. No amount of post match spin can change that as we've all become somewhat immune to your rather strange version of events.
Wolves are top and yet they've let in 2 more goals than we have. Why? Because they attack the opposition and don't think that they're in the Premiership playing against the likes of Man Utd and Chelsea where you can't afford to give a goal away. I won't even mention their top scorer because we all know that he wouldn't have scored any where near that number playing for us - well not sitting on the bench anyway.
So Pards let's see a change in attitude from you and the team. Let's see you playing the likes of Dickson who, despite your claim yesterday, you haven't given a chance to. Let's see you going 4 -3 -3 or even 4 - 2 - 4 and forgetting about keeping a clean sheet since we simply aren't good enough to do that. You never know we might actually start winning but, even if we don't, we will have given it a right go.

That'll do it for me. I've left out the short term loans cos if this did work out we'd need people who'll be around into the new year. My only concerns would be could Matty go the distance and Semedo at CB although we did by him as a CB but don't remember him starting a game there. Worth a punt!
And Spurs fans were saying much the same about Darren B but, as he and Defoe have found, it is rather hard to impose yourself on a team that is always losing when you come on. I bet even Ian Wright looked rubbish at times before he was given a proper chance by Coppell.
I have to say dickson looked well out of it but then not surprising, what a game to come into. I'd have had Gray and varney off at half time and put todorov and Dickson on then, might as well have given him a decent run, we weren't ever going to come back from that were we?
I've seen many a forward in my lifetime who have looked woeful. One such striker goes by the name of Derek Hales who at times looked like he'd never seen a football in his life and on more than the odd occasion demontrated, with consumate ease, the art of having the first touch of an elephant.
I rather suspect that Luton, having signed Killer for £4,000 from Dartford, regretted in years to come the fact that they let him go for half that a year later. We gave him a chance because we were desperate for someone who could find the net. Sounds familiar doesn't it?
the lack of decent wide players seems to be the problem, if we could get decent service to our forwards I think we'd score goals. Basey can deliver a ball from a dead ball but needs to be more consistent in this, hes a must right now though for that alone. a good wide player has to be the key. Cant say I have the answer, maybe jonjo vould provide the vreativity we need but we cant and shouldnt put that pressure on such a young lad. last season there was sinclair, cook, thomas none of them did it although sinc's and cooky never got a chance. can we unearth someone now? Wayne routledge maybe ?
Based on what exactly? Coming on for 10 minutes for us here and there? Dickson scored 11 from 11 starts last season playing for Gillingham in League 1 last year for a team that got relegated.
The proof of the pudding for a striker is how many goals he scores for you and not how good he looks on the ball. Varney looks the business but he's had 38 starts in the League (plus 16 as sub) during which time he's mustered just 10 goals and just 2 from 15 starts this season. Micky "Sumo" Quinn looked anything but a footballer but managed 230 goals in 490 games. I know which of the two I would prefer right now.
That's pretty grim reading but sadly may not be too far from the truth.
but by the time they come it'll be too late
I'd like to see Dicko have a go but he scored quite a few of his Gillingham goals in the Johnstone Paint thing when a lot of clubs put out largely reserve teams.
I'm not sure his league record was that good. That said I'd give him a start or two just to see what he can do. Ten or fifteen minutes in a team losing 3-0 or 3-1 isn't fair to him or us.

Put it this way, i don't think you would get a good comment out of a team mate. I was watching him carefully, he was frequently in the wrong position, offered little work rate or desire to close the ball, showed a poor first touch, and held the ball too long, or was too selfish when an easier option was on. He simply wasn't playing as a team player, which is fine when you produce individual brilliance, but not when nothing comes off.
Just my opinion though.
