Im supporting Pards, I think he can turn it round. I may be rose tinted, optomistic etc etc but we have the players and I believe we can turn it round.
For me it's the players who are equally to blame. There are players lacking confidence and players that are lacking motivation. I believe there are players, particularly the youngsters, who are just nervous and frightened to make a mistake given the atmosphere within the ground but I also believe there are players that just don't want to play for us and are going through the motions.
It's not specifically a witch hunt per se but if there is any ruthlessness that needs to be shown by the board and/or Pardew then it is to eradicate those individuals from the team who simply do not want to be at the club anymore.
EG it is a fair point but the atmosphere inside the ground can not be blamed the players are not playing for their manager because if they do put in a good shift he drops them any way.
Pardew is solely to blame the players at every team will do what this mob are doing (bar Chelski last season) if they dont want the manager around, i would have thought that bar Weaver,Hudson,Varney,Gray the rest off them couldnt give to shits if Pardew is the manager or not.
Weaver is the consumate pro and his performances in this patch have made me like the guy and i really didnt before.
Hudson is ok but should be taking the rest of the lazy bstds by the neck during a game
Varney and Gray have been shown far too much loyalty and need loaning out or fecking off i have never seen 2 more useless strikers, for folks to say Varney is like Nelse is nothing short of insulting to Garry nelson atleast he fecking scored and tried hard

I agree completely NLA, but don't you think it is the fact that the players couldn't care less if Pardew was there or not a good enough reason to blame them for our current plight? Afterall if they can't be bothered you can shout at them till your blue in the face but nothing will change. That's footballers today, I guess.
You watch Pardew on the touchline and he's throwing his arms around, ranting etc but there just seems to be no response. Granted we improved after half time yesterday but it was hardly all guns blazing.
I'm not a big Pardew fan because he's Palace, but I have sympathy for him because to an extent his hands were tied with the players we've lost and I can't help but feel the Zabeel situation has made a bad problem worse. I also think financially it is potentially an even bigger problem for us if we sack him. He'll demand compensation in a season we're we've got debts, have one of the biggest wage bills in the Championship and next summer our income is going to drop by probably half when the parachute payments end.
And then you've got to convince a manager with a decent reputation to come to the club with a promise that he'll have very little to spend....
"I'm supporting Pards, I think he can turn it round... we have the players and I believe we can turn it round."
Evidence? Can you show us your workings on that one, Thommo?
He's turned it round at Reading and WHU, They both gave him time (I note we have given him time too but I feel we have a good crop of players who at times play very good football. If we can get some 90 minute performances (which isnt asking too much), I can see us getting better results.
the problem i have is that Pardew is taking all the blame and for me rightly so, I do feel the players have no self pride and are a gutless spineless bunch of over paid wankas on the face of gods earth, Bar Wright,Toddy,Dicko,Shelvey,Holland (ducks for cover)Weaver,Bailey they however are not doing it either but give me a sense that they are trying.
Once we sort out the manager problem any of them that continue to be so shit can take the brunt of it but until then pardew must shoulder the brunt of my anger
[cite]Posted By: thai malaysia addick[/cite]We are omly a handful of points off the play offs, so what's the panic? It's a tight division.
I presume you haven't been to the last few games. If you had then you'll know why we're panicking. If we play the rest of the season like we have in the last few games, then we will will be relegated rock bottom and probably only pick up a dozen or so more points. We would not even give a Conference team a game at the moment and we are getting steadily worse.
Well done Thommo. I felt as you but I've just got beyond that point now. Who knows what will happen over the next days and weeks. Maybe they will stick with Pards. If that is the case I really, really, really hope you are right because if you aren't we are going to be even further in the do do.

He does also hold them up a kimbo calling for the ball!! gone are the days when he first came, he would coach players from the touchline
