Apart from the game against Reading most of our games second half of last season and most of this have been very poor. So its only in the last couple of weeks Pardew has learnt lessons from.

But didn't he say after the Burnley game the corner was turned?

Thats just the point and he has tinkered with the team that played better in the second half against Burnley. The performance against Ipswich bar the last 15-20 minutes was utterly abysmal and then todays shambles, especially in the first half.

Theres no getting away from the reality that the play is going from bad to worse.

Yeah but then we turned another corner after the Ipswich game, and then another one today. By my reckoning after the Plymouth game we should be right back where we started.
