There is one answer i want, to my question last week. You logged off after I asked the question last week. Are we going into administration, are you going to sack Pardew. We love Charlton do the right thing.
[cite]Posted By: Off_it[/cite]Easy there fellas. We're all hurting here but let's not turn on the man when at least he had the decency to come on here in the first place.
He's a fan too and I would imagine he wasn't best pleased with that showing this afternoon either.
And let's face it, he's hardly likely to be able to say yes or no either way on a public message board now is he?
I agree Off_it. The Board have always acted in good faith in all of this. To be fair, there were very few on here who thought that Pards would screw things up so badly. I accept that some on here felt the Board had cut the squad to the barest of bones but I don't think most, including me, thought we would be third from bottom come the begining of November.
It is a difficult decision to axe the guy on who's shoulders all theirs and our hopes were pinned but to me anyway, I can't see him turning this around. Since the 25th minute of the Brizzle game, we have seen gutless, rudderless performances one after the other. I thought it couldn't get any worse after the first half against Burnley. I thought it couldn't get more diabolically bad after 70 minutes against Ipswich where we had mustered no shots and the players couldn't string more than one or two passes together. Then today..........
I wish I could wave a magic wand and all this would go away, but I cant........
What a difference a week makes....we were all off to never never land a week ago with talk of EPL and Champions (tongue in cheek tho')....then boom we are brought crashing down to earth. Still being a Charlton fan we have all been here before. Would we have it any other way? Once Pards steps aside I can see better times ahead. I for one loved listening to Steve Brown on the radio in the EPL. The man is charlton thru and thru and he sounded like he knew his stuff. How about Brownie and Chris Powell as a management team? If not Curbs on a short term contract although he can leave Mervyn at home.

I think there is merit in what the administrators have asked of those participating on this board, particularly with regard to evincing a base level of respect for the people who make up the Charlton Life community. I am only a marginal participant in that community and appreciate that I may not be entitled to make the following observation here, but: this goes too far. No one can be happy with how things are at the moment and I am certain that everyone who loves Charlton is struggling to figure out how to get the club back on track.

not saying you dont mate just that Steve would probaly ask the question in a different way this morning i must admit i did find some of DC's comments a bit condersending
Lets not get personal- Derek Chappell is a director of or club. Also like us he's a fan and furthermore- he's decided to sign up here to discuss our club and hopefully that will give us more of an insight.
Lets not get personal because frankly any posts that are deemed personal, to any forum member, will be removed.
"United we stand, divided we fall" springs to mind in these testing time..
the press would have a field day let alone employment lawyers, get a grip people first news we will hear on this front will not be from someone responding to this appeal for info...
mate i just want pardew out now it is time for us to get back to what we are good at.
Steve spent most of the 2nd half singing Pardew out and then starting off VFR and Charlton till i die i think he has taken it as bad as anyone i know and that came out in the comment.
I dont have a cat either but i have been visiting Meriden Avenue, Stourbridge for the last few weeks and muscling in on the cat nicking just to boot them into the local river, got to watch out though as the tv guys have been about lately reporting the missing moggies
