Dead Man Walking - part 2

On 1st October I posted a discussion titled Dead Man Walking. I stated that in my opinion Pardew had lost the majority of the fans and unless things improved in the month of October, he would in my opinion he would be sacked before bonfire night.

It gives me no pleasure to say this but I think that prediction was spot on. After today’s performance I fail to see how he can continue managing our club. If Pardew had one shred of decency he should offer his resignation with immediate effect. Today’s performance was as bad as I can ever remember. If we had been supporting a club such as Millwall. Leeds or Newcastle there would have been fans protesting in the car park and Pardew would have needed a police escort to get back to his car.

Whatever the cost implications Richard Murray needs to act immediately, this team is only going one way and that is down to division 1.

Still look on the bright side as next year’s season ticket offer will be “buy a season ticket for our first season in division 1 and get a free season ticket if we get promotion back to the Championship”

  • Billericay - we all know it mate we need to see what the club does from here.
  • Well he sure isnt going to do the right thing and walk
  • I hate reactionary nonsense calling for the manager's head after a few bad results - but reckon you're spot on Dickie! This is sustained bad management with just the odd little purple patch achieved by a handful of capable individuals and a very patient (until now) crowd.
  • any other team and the noise would be unbelievable calling for his head we are too nice

Spot on, even the chanting of Pardew out was pretty subdued
  • i think people just wont turn on him and that is to be applauded as i still dont think the booing at the end will do any good but was totally justifiable.

i just wish sometimes there was more passion but that just aint charlton
