  • Try the Anchor,it's a bit more of a walk but it's a good pub.Sadly there is no real ale so i just stick to guinness.
  • Has the Oak closed down? Also does anyone know if the horse and groom is ever gonna re-open?

No ale? This is becoming more and more common these days. You just don't get any hotel chains serving real ale these days, I hate going to weddings now!
  • Yes The Oak is still open and has no plans to close as far as I'm aware.
  • ANyone been lately?, service improved, might try tonight before the game always lucky drinking in there!!

Thats because as we left before the game they only had Fosters left the rest was run dry!!
  • No more than about 30 people in there after the game last night. Needed a drink after that crap. Easy to get served though.

went in before the game, bloke ordered some bitter, the barman went hold on, disappeared for 5 mins and come back on said its all gone. Bloke ordered 2nd bitter, and the same thing happened again. So the bloke walked out. Bourne's dad was then told he was 'lucky' as he had the last pint out of another beer. So that was at least 3 different beers they sold out of, and it wasn't even busy in there.

Some people just have no idea how to run a pub.
  • Good job the lager was on then
  • I pulled in there last night
  • Was she nice?
