Tomorrow Night

Am nervous, Bristol City always play nice stuff and give 110% nothing other than a home win will be accepted. I hope they search all the bristol fans on there way in, any flares on the pitch should see them all banned. Gota a feeling the Boo Boys could be out tomorow night too. 4 4 2 for me give it a go dont sit back get right at them from the off, the only half decent thing about this term is that we have actually won a few games at home.

Weaver,
Craine
Basey
Primus
Youga
Varney
Bailey
Holland
Bouzza
Toddy
Dickson

Gray
Ambrose
Sam
Mambo
Shelvey
Elliot.

  • Yep. I'd play Dickson and Todorov up front too but can't see Pardew doing it.

Think I was the one of the very first on here to liken Varney to Nelson, lots of good running in the channels, 100% effort and workrate but simply not a good enough finisher. Lacks any sort of composure in front of goal.
  • First of all you've got 6 subs there, and Shelvey can't play.

I'd start Dickson alongside Varney, and play Yassin Cranie Primus Youga across the back, with the same midfield from Saturday.
  • To be honest I'm NOT looking forward to tomorrow night ;
can't help thinking that the crowd will be to eager and impatient because of this takeover talk.
  • I can see Pardont going with a 4-5-1 defensive formation tomorrow with a remit to try and protect the back four.
  • oh the joys and excitement of championship football... so much more exciting with pards at the helm... much better than the boring premiership years of curbs...
0-0 will be a great result against the mighty bristol city

LOL - "but relegation will be fun. We'll win more games".

Agree with you Oohaah but this is where we are now. Not nice but there you go.

    At last we agree!
We could be a point of the play-offs by tomorrow night.
  • And Sheff Weds went from 15th to 5th in one game yesterday. You don't get that in the Prem!
  • HENRY..........I thought we would win more games after the last relegation. ;-)
  • I agree the league is very close this year, as i said 2 wins from 2 homes games and we will be right in there again, Derby Birmingham Reading and Wolves seem like there gona contest the top 2 spot so that that leaves it up to us to get amongst them. Its still early days in terms of the league but its been a mad season already.

  • start of a 4 match run which could spell the end of Pardew if we don't out of it with at least 6 or 7 points.

3 homes games & 1 away - should get at least 2 wins out of those otherwise we will be in deep do-do

He has to change the front two and give Dickson/McLeod/Toddy a run in the side. I would also tell the England set-up to f**k off and get Shelvey back in the squad.

If we start with Varney/Grey again then I can only see 1 winner tomorrow - and it aint us !
  • surely tomorrow night is the night that we break the 20k on the crowd side of things
  • good points about the Championship this year - it's as close as ever

only Brum and maybe Wolves look as if they will be consistent throughout the season.

the gap from 4th to 16th is five points so with two home games this week everything to play for - PArdew just needs to earn his over-inflated salary and pick the right team...
  • what's the deal with Shelvey?

    why can't he play?
  • [cite]Posted By: kinveachyaddick[/cite]what's the deal with Shelvey?

Hhe is playing in an u17's tournament for England.

Josh Wright recalled, his loan was only extended the other day. With no Racon, Semedo, Shelvey, Zheng, and Arter only just back from injury he should have a good chance of making the bench.

    Confirmed on OS

He'll probably come on, we'll lose, Pardew will praise him as a player that surprised him, Saturday's match programme will feature an interview with him, and a big Valley Gold advert mentioning Wright as the next player to have 'made it' (after one game) through the youth system to the first team.
  • Cold wet and windy. 4-3.
  • I've seen Josh Wright twice at Brentford plus one televised match and he was ordinary at best. If Pardew thinks he is worth a place on the bench then he's definitely lost the plot.

He must have because you've seen him play three times and Pardew has seen him play a lot more and everyday in training.

    Jesus!
  • The boy is only 18 years old, for heaven's sake!
  • ooah are u going tuesday i will see u down there

I saw him in the televised game, wasn't great, but he did very well for Barnet last season. Would like to see him with better players.

How many minutes 'til the first "boo-ing?"

    I'll give it 12.

(not that I agree with it; I think the crowd will be too uptight and impatient).
  • less then that first 10 minutes, probably started by the group of knuckle draggers 2/3rds of the way up J block in the Covered End upper
  • Phew, thats not me,
    I'm only 4/9ths up ;-)

Not the "people who boo are not as intelligent as me" line again....

Christ, you are boring, how's the battle going?

As the scousers say "calmdown, calmdown".

Sorry I bought up the "boo-ing" topic, but I don't think it helps anyone in the long run.
If you have to "BOO" why not leave it to full-time, if you're still in the ground. I'm sure the players and management realize themselves when things are going wrong or aren't working, so the barracking from acouple of thousand people isn't really going to make that much difference.
Yes, I know Everybody has a right to scream and shout and let out their frustrations but IF you have to slag somebody off go to Sellhurst Park or the Rustytoolbox and yell abuse at them. Or Ashley Cole.

    Oh, and what battle ?
