Wise words from the lovely Glenn Tilbrook

Just back in from seeing Glenn and the Fluffers in Glasgow tonight.

One of the new songs he played was a little prophetic - and all about change, apparently. Made me wonder how long he's known about Zabeel:

Relentless pursuit...
Turning water into wine...
It's just a matter of time...
Everything will be fine

Let's hope so :-)

Not as good as the private one in the Cons :-)
  • Saw Glenn play at the 2004 Plymouth Festival in, erm, .....Plymouth.

It was packed. Bit of a Squeeze but cool for cats.
  • It was pretty good - quite a lot of new stuff, some of which sounded v good, but the album's not ready yet, so will need to wait a while to hear it again! These things happen in Tilbrook world, apparently...

A few old Squeeze faves including Slap & Tickle, Is That Love, Tempted and Up the Junction.

No Black Coffee in Bed, and they got the hump a bit that the audience wanted it as an encore! Obviously now that Squeeze are back together and touring, they are trying to create a more separate identity for The Fluffers...

We were right near the front, so that was good, but didn't manage to have a wee natter about the Addicks with him afterwards this time, which was a little disappointing!
  • We have got a couple of regular visitors from Manchester, who have now become good friends, and Steve is a Man City and Squeeze fanatic. So much so he is the only non-Addick I know who owns a copy of Down in the Valley!
  • I used to work in HSBC (Midland Bank as it was then) in Greenwich in 1998 for a summer job. Glen Tillrook was a customer there and was always in, lovely bloke, very friendly, loves the Addicks.
