I want my Charlton Life Back

Does anybody else want their normal column forum back? All this Zabeel this, Murray that, Westham worth ex.

Lets get back to speaking about Pardew and the team. I read in last nights Wragg that Toddy is going to get 90 minutes on Saturday.....how can they predict that?

I also had a chuckle this morning reading Marcus Bent is looking to leave Brum in Jan after one start! haha

    But come on everybody has said what needs to be said about the takeover. That will happen, lets talk about now. We have a game on saturday.

    Slightly agree Rob. However, as this could be one of the biggest things to ever happen in Charlton's history so it is bound to discuss and dominate until a resolution happens.

    That being said as matchday approaches - the nerves will re surface for 90 minutes during the game and all of our attention will be concentrated on the boys in red playing on the pitch. There will be the reaction after the game like always come Saturday evening/Sunday and Monday morning.

    Embrace the exciting times at the moment but agreed, I hope that us as supporters and the playing and coaching staff are 100% concentrating on the thing that ultimately matters - how we perform on the pitch.

    If the takeover happens, then it changes Charlton forever - for better or worse, we don't know yet. So for me that is the main focus right now -suddenly the next few games feel a bit unreal with all this hanging over us. Still want us to win them, of course!

    the things is this takeover will provide the crowd with a feel good factor which in turn will help the players,as we have been told booing has a negative effect.

    Everybody has been there checking every sport site every five minutes on transfer deadline day to see if we sign. It is like that times 100 million. Like the time Murphy moved to spurs ....I sat on the TV all night watching. It really is torture! So I thought lets try and take our mind off it all

    I've not thought of that, but to be honest i don't really think there is much demand for people to avoid the talk.

    What would help would be if people stuck to using the current takeover threads, rather than creating new ones all the time.

    Yeah kind of agree, i have looked constantly at the board this week but have not contributed as i think every point has been covered very well. We are all nervous and as it is completely out of our control think we just have to cross figures.
    I am going on saturday so up for tea towel idea just need to convince hubby! ? to self have i got any red checky tea towels

    It is a gallant ask Robroy, but I have to concede this takeover stuff is very interesting to me, having said all that you are correct about the need for us to remember there is a match to be played on Saturday and we have to get into match mode soon.

    The takeover might take a month to sort out, during which time we have 6-7 games. We need to be picking up points so we can still be in touch with the leaders come the January transfer window.
