  • Yeah good read......... We was out before the Forest game and knew we were gonna get tonked!!

Imagine this board now if this happen christ!!
  • Cheers wharf....

Met him a couple of times, he was captain when I was a mascot...
  • Quality. I really enjoy this kind of sports article - especially players you remember well.

Doesn't it make a pleasant change from the usual hacked out guff?
  • Great interview - top bloke.
  • Remember that penalty save against Wimbledon, priceless.

    Top man.
  • Legend. End of.
  • This man is as Leroy says, a Legend- totally and utterly, and very friendly to fans before every match when he came out to warm up. When I was knee high to a grass hopper he always had a friendly wave for my brother and I and it made our day everytime, lovely guy and cracking keeper, glad the club has kept him on.
  • top top man and always has a huge grin on his face
was he involved in a tunnel incident at st andrews THAT night??
  • Good, I can remember those three games, but wining the Derby game, and the excitment getting the second goal, knowing we was safe was out of this world!

I remember that Derby County match too, evening game at Selhurst and Derby were top 5 with Peter Shilton in goal.

That 1st half we tore into them, Paul Williams was everywhere.

The Wimbledon match, the previous Saturday was a grey, ragged affair - was that the game when Denis Wise had already been booked early on - and mid-way through the 2nd half appeared to be booked again?

I do remember Bobby Gould, the Wimbledon manager had him substituted immediately before the referee realised his mistake - and the whole crowd were booing the ref.
