Who has a nailed on place come January?

If new players may come in, who will still start? For me:-

Weaver,
Semedo (at RB),
Hudson,
ZZ,
Bailey,
Ambrose (wide R/L),
Varney, (realistically we're not going to get two big name strikers)

Which leaves several players I rate not even sure of a place or the bench, namely Racon, Moo2, Dicko, Toddy and McLeod (possibly Youga who has bags of potentail but needs experience & a decent winger covering him). Several fringe players will not get a look in and must be thinking of P45s.

The big worry is that Pards (who still seems not to know his best side) will keep tinkering as he did last year.

I'd like to see Dickson given a crak of the whip. Until he gets some first team appearances under his belt noone will know just how good he is.

I've seen Dicko play several 90s for the reserves and he is a talent. His problem is that (unlike McLeod) his hold up play isn't great so if playing alongside Varney we'd need to play through midfield more. He was compared to Ian Wright, not just because of physical similarities, he has that "shoot on sight" mentality and also makes chances for himself out of nothing. If given the right service, I really believe he will be bigger than Darren Bent.

Smokin Ice - I'd go with two of the three with one on the bench but I'd go a narrow midfield ZZ Bailey Racon Ambrose and full backs giving width. Those four in the middle would make us harder to beat although we still need the back four to push up more.

Assuming we're not buying a whole team in January you'd have to assume the only players that are safe are those that play in paired positions and have excelled thus far. The only players who fall into those categories are Hudson and Bailey.
