  • [cite]Posted By: bingaddick[/cite]Once DD has been completed and assuming there is then a formal offer, this has to be put to the shareholders which may also take some time.

but seeing as though the Board hold more than enough shares between them to give the deal the green light would a EGM be needed ?

Don't know but there was an EGM to approve the bond issue in the Summer when the situation, shareholding wise, was the same.

That was the now infamous Pot Hole EGM.

“Charlton has passionate fans ” Jbran Rahal, managing director of Zabeel Capital, a unit of the investment firm, told Reuters.

he missed out the words 'a small number'
i mean tbh we're not the most passionate of fans as a collective group ffs

  • [cite]Posted By: Henry Irving[/cite]Only if he lets me ghost write it for him ; - ) I think I'll call it "From Murray to Minted"

I'll tell him when and if I next see him/speak to him.

Would also love to read "My Valley Years" by P Varney.

And other "lost" Charlton books out there? No Cardie jokes please, you did all those yesterday ; - )

Funny enough, maybe not to everyones taste, but a few "old skool" fellas are trying to get together to do a Charlton book, someone has already contributed to the A-L book thats out now (cough, splutter, cough) and it was deciced by a few people ITK to put one together, so some of you on here might be contacted soon for memories such as the Battle of Stamford Bridge....you know who you are LOL

    You really are a star.

McLeod scores on his return from injury and still you manage to find a way to slag him off in a completly unrelated topic!

Glad to see that there remains frustration with anyone who can actually score goals. Perhaps Dickson can be denigrated as "the buffoon," Fleetwood "the merry andrew" and Todorov "the jester."
  • D.Kiely when he left us for portsmouth said as soon as he got there that Charlton treated him better than any other club he had played for and when he fell out of favour with portsmouth said they were the worst ever!

so enlighten me as to when he scored goals for the first team,I remember a missed hit shot against West Brom struggling on the bags of others though.

Didn't he win both penalties Reid scored against Norwich last season?

    Two "assists" arguably...

    I wouldn't go that far:-)

I think I'm right in saying though that he has already won us more penalties than any other player except Colin Powell which is quite an achievement in half a season or so.
