Not that expect JJ to sign for anyone else but I hope that any takeover makes it that much easier to hold to any young prospects not only by being able to offer a similar package but good prospects.
What if we had had the Zebeel money when Chelsea came in for Parker or when West Ham nicked Defoe. Whole different history perhaps?

With Scotty, it really is a question of who knows. Would definitely have been the closest we got to Europe.
to me that would be the pinnacle of what I see as remotely achievable in my lifetime, i'm not expecting trophies or cups, with or without this investment, but to have a trip abroad, be there with mates in a competitive, non-anglo Italian cup game, watch the boys on that stage, that would be by far enough for me!

That and a cup final. Two things I have always envied seeing other fans doing.
If we had the Zabeel money after beating Chelsea 4-2 on boxing day...
I seem to recall italian football finance was in meltdown after they had scrapped their universal deal and only the top clubs had any dosh - we would have been shopping in Italy instead of watching the toys being thrown out of the pram!

Been there, done that. - but Henry .......don't tell me you missed Wembley 87 v Blackburn?
;o)
A proper, non-mickey mouse cup final : - )
Yes I was there. We have more ST holders now than fans we took to Wembley that day. How things change.
One might even lead to the other.
(you know this all a dream and you will wake up tomorrow and realise that)
