Who would win the hot dog contest ????

I just saw Reid on Sky Sports News. Possible the biggest player i've ever in a CAFC shirt (barring vets games).

Can anyone remember historically a player carrying more pies that Reid ?

Was the decision to come to us due to us having a baggy kit and not the skintight one that Spurs and others use ?

    Maybe it was a catering decision? Increased revenues... A deal with Wimpy's perhaps.

    Ability wise probably one of the most naturally gifted players I have seen play for Charlton in recent years. However, for me he should have done so must more with his career considering how much ability he has. Carrying as must timber as he did for the majority of his career cost him. Good to see him looking in good shape but how long will it last before the weight goes back on. Would have loved to have seen Reidy back at Charlton.

    Was thinking it would be great if we could get him back at the Valley (He must like the place after refusing to celebrate) but then realised that him being @ Forest means he's back with the club where it all began for him so we wouldnt stand a chance

    Thing is Andy Reid has had a decent career due to his undoubted quality with the ball, his extra weight hasn't held him back as he doesn't need to run to terrorise teams. Big Fat Pete lacked his quality and could have done with making up for it with a bit of athleticism.

    One ended up at Forest, the other ended up at Fisher athletic. No contest really!

    Was gutted when we got rid of Reidy and can still remember fondly his celebrations at Selhurst when we won there. Great player, and will always get a good reception from me when he plays against us......

    Big Fat Pete was a central midfielder of the sort which need to be box to box and full of energy, thus that extra weight wasn't very helpful...

    The best description of Andy Reid when he joined us was what a Spurs supporting friend told me . He had the touch of a Champions League player but the body of a Sunday League player. Clearly he is in better shape now.

    For the last couple of seasons he's made the effort to lose weight, but appears to regain it as the season progresses.

    Wonderful player, probably one of the best footballers we have had in our modern history alongside Claus Jensen and Robert Lee with an honorable mention to John '18-stone' Barnes.

    If he had stayed in 2007/08 (he left on January deadline day) then we might have sneaked into the Play-Offs but without him we were lost and he went on to do well at Sunderland.

    I'm convinced he would've dragged us into the playoffs if Murray hadn't have bottled it and sold him on deadline day. Whether we had gone up is another question.

    Great to watch. Might have carried a bit of extra weight, but still managed to run more, challenge more, and last longer than Ambrose, Thomas, Zhi and Racon. Shame everyone else in that midfield thought it was up to someone else to work for the team. He left and frankly it was pathetic the lack of urgency in that midfield.
