anyone know anything about this guy ? Was Newcastle's Director of Player Recruitment until he left on Thursday to persue other avenues. Then he pops up as being involved in the Zabeel deal. He was the guy who arranged for Ashely to meet Zabeel in Dubai but Ashley didn't go as Zabeel were not willing to go over 300m. Alledgly the guy who brokered the Ramos to Spurs deal. In a report I read yesterday he was lined up to be Chief Exec for us when the deal goes through. Seems like he has fingers in lots of pies. Bit worrying imo.

He has obviously has a lot of contacts. IF this whole thing goes through and he comes on board, I'd expect us to sign some promising talents from abroad which otherwise we'd never had looked at.
No need to worry, Weegie ..... we've got Pards.
;o)
Or are they just making it all up?
Salt, pinch, of, take, a, with.
Re-arrange these words to create a well known phrase to be used when reading such speculation. When Matt Wright tells me on the OS then I'll believe it.
Steady guys, don't spoil your reputation!

Where' the fun in that. Ledge? C'mon, can't we enjoy it for however long it lasts? :-)
Says he will advise on ''strategic and corporate PR and high-profile announcements''. With all respect to the OS guys and in-house team, no harm in having a heavy-hitter on board, I would have thought...
He won't come cheap so I'd like to read it is another indication that the new owners have both serious ambitions for the club - and real money.
Very true, little old Charlton don't need a spin doctor, especially in League One.
Going to be interesting times ahead that's for sure.
So I think we should treat him with some caution.
All that said, NLA made a good point on the McGarahy thread, that at least he has built a career in high quality business circles, which may suggest that the new owners are genuine heavy hitters, as opposed to Sebastian Sainsbury types.
As PA says his role is more protecting the image (or non-image in this case) of his clients either by keeping them out of the news or dealing with any awkward questions from the press ie Digger at the Guardian, rather than communicating with the customer base.
