This may surprise you...

But in trying to decide if you lot being bank rolled by the overseas money is a good or a bad thing......fundamently I think it's good news.

Taking my Palace tinted contact lenses off for a second.

It at last seems that foregion investment may be being awarded to a club based on it's sound operating policies...and not just in desperate attempt by someone who wishes to have a toy or perhaps some other spurious reason.

Does this also represent a change in the order of things, in our top level football....where perhaps it will be considered more important to run a tight ship than chase the dream at all cost. Hull City are probably the only prem club without a debt at present.....our football needs more examples like this.

If your deal goes through then I fully expect you to exit this division in the right direction and sooner rather than later........it will be just as interesting to see who you mightreplace.........spurs in meltdown on the pitch or West ham in meltdown off it.

And I dont think any foregion investor would find either of those clubs in the championship with huge debts and liabilities as attractive as CAFC have appeared to be.

It may well be that they could enjoy an extended spell away from footballs top table.......personally i would fooking love that.

  • No surprise SoS, you are normally a reasonable chap. Thanks for the positive vibe.

    Thanks for the kind words.

If it had been the other way round I would not have been so generous. Then again I don't think that "sound operating policies" and "Crystal Palace" is a combination your hear too often.

From the links on here most other Palace fans are taking a slightly more negative view and going a little green with envy.

Did not say I was not envious Henry!!

But you know my views on our Chairman........and right now I would take a settled board with a realistic plan to make CPFC a sound business model over foregion investment.

And you pretty much dont get one without the other.

Do you have any concerns over this proposed take over?
  • well said SOS...............I would fooking love it if we replaced the Spuds !!!

Lots of "we wouldn't want to be taken over, we prefer being poor" and "Charlton are a soul less club anyway" on their boards

  • My Palace supporting colleague in the office is as jealous as hell and wishes it was them in our position

Exactly - Which is why you've got to give SOS credit for coming on here and saying what he did - Good on you mate, even if you are palace.
