Edit of What Charlton Lifers have been saying live on Sky:
Henry Irving
Very out of the blue, it is true, but its just an indicative offer at present and not formalised. Waiting for all the loose ends to be tied up.
Thinks they chose Charlton because of its fantastic location, a London club, and stones throw from the Olympics. Solid fanbase, huge potential with the Thames Gateway growth, good structure, experience already of the Prem.
Reality is these days if you want to compete in the premiership, and keep the youngsters coming through the gates for the next 20-30 years, you need fresh investment.
Not a case of whether its foreign investment, or UK investment, its whether its good investment with its focus on the long-term.
Hope Murray and Chappel stay involved in some capacity. Paid tribute to Murray. RM says its a good deal. Would be sad if it was the end of Murray.
Charlton has always been about the long-term, not what happens tomorrow or next week. Hopefully this is the best for the long term.
Rothko
Its absolutely shocking, you don't expect it as a Championship side, these things normally happen to the Premiership clubs, so its great if money is filtering down to the Championship. Hopefully well be back where were belong in the champremiership.
Tavern (Asked why Charlton and thinking of his property value)
The area. 2012, the Olympics nearby, they obviously feel it is a very up and coming area
