Big Chris to start?

edited October 2008 in General Charlton
Kenny Miller has withdrawn from the Scotland squad on Saturday which surely makes the prospect of the former Valley legend starting for Scotland even more likely!

Good luck to him if he does

  • "legend"?!
  • Good luck to Big Chris, if he gets to start or even win that 1st cap.

Not quite sure if he's a legend, lol ........ but he's an honest Pro, gave us 100%.
And at the age of 30, on the threshold of playing for his country. Must be a dream come unexpectedly true.
  • it's scotland FFS who cares
  • deffo not a legend that term is used to loosely
  • Good luck to him. Ok Question:

How many players have been capped after they've left us?
  • Mafia capped or football capped?
  • lee bowyer

scott parker - or was he with us

Parker was with us when he won his first cap.

Rob Lee left us in 92, first full cap for England was in 94.
    Judas Defoe
  • oh god how can I forget Robert Lee
  • Scott Carson - tenuous but claiming it!

Yep, left us in 99, England debut in 2001

    as if...
  • If my memory serves, Luke Young's debut was in Chicago against the USA a few years ago...I was there, and he was definitely still an Addick! Mind you, it must be said that it was a poor, poor squad that day...

it's the funniest blooper ever ..... better than ronnie rozenthals miss.... unreal,,,, the jocks are gutted ...lmfao
  • I heard about this.

Was it really that bad of a miss? \0/
  • just showed it again..... i still thought he'd put it in in the replay it was so f**king easy
  • it was unbelievable, thought he looked a shade offside but it wasn't given and the goal would've counted.......worst miss I've ever seen (and that includes some of mine !)

Are you sure it was Iwelumo who missed?

    Might have been Andy Gray.
  • I did like Big Chris last season for his attitude if nothing else. After that miss costing the Scots I love him now!
  • felt for chris but it's scotland so funny as hell - easier to score than to miss
  • Poor old Big Chris ........we've all missed open goals or the simplest chances, but scored spectacularly from the difficult ones. That's football.

Best not to cock-up on your international debut in a World Cup qualifying game, though.

Me too Can-addick - he was definitely an Addick.

Paul Walsh and Danny Mills agree. Think that could be it plus poor old Big Chris.
  • now Big Chris has caused ruptions in the jock camp Kris Boyd retired from int duty under Burley because Iwelumo got on instead of him.

Boyd would have buried that so think he;s probably right to be pissed.
