The International Break

edited October 2008 in General Charlton
Not come at a good time for us, with the changes Pards made abd the points in the bin I think we'd benifit from playing Tues and next Saturday. Instead we've got to wait two weeks. Bugger!

Comments

  • yeah it would have been better if we'd gone into it on the back of another defeat
    ;-)
  • We've also got the worry that all our Internationals might come back injured.

I kinda hope he does because I don't see the point in him playing for us anymore.
Cranie that is, just remembered Dickson might be playing for Ghana(?).
  • lol I forgot about him
  • As I've said on numerous occasions I feel sorry for Dickson and do wonder if he'll ever be given a chance. Toddy and Gray don't have the pace to get in behind the opposition and Varney is a "drifter" and with McLeod coming back he might become surplass to requirements. Just hope he doen't go on to prove elsewhere that he was the new Ian Wright after all.
  • Peoples perception of Varney cracks me up!

I disagree, with Bailey out I'm pleased we have a 2 week break.

  • Think it's good we have this break, it was a tough week. The win on Saturday was more of a relief than anything else.

So we're a one man team now? Seize the moment.
  • Personally I like it pressure off for a week, plus me & a few boys always go to watch England anyway, seven of us going this weekend.

I forgot to wink but I was being ironic which is why I laughed about the reference by Salad to Crainie. ZZ never even came into consideration as I had assumed China didn't have a game.

China finished bottom of their group in the last round of WC qualifying so got knocked out. So unless they have a friendly ZZ won't have a game.
