Youga, Ambrose, Crainey, Sam

Hang your collective heads in shame after last night

You were the worst 4 out there last night and I don't want you in the team on Saturday.

Youga - Same old same old for me. Can't pass, can't tackle that well, caught out of position but for me...the cardinal sin....trying something stupid and getting tackled (nothing new) but then smiling and laughing about it! I saw it against Sheff Weds and gave him the benefit of the doubt but he did it again last night. Unforgiveable. BASEY IN

Ambrose - I'll go easy on you as it was your first real game of the season....but you were off the pace and didn't seem to know where to be at any point. Your control was bad. Your passing was bad. You have no pace. Your fitness was lacking. Must try harder. If we are playing 4-5-1 ZZ in

Crainey - Slower than Moo2, less attacking nowse than Moo2, worse positional sense than Moo2, worse defender than Moo2. MOO2 IN

Sam - Complete bottler. Man up and take a whack. Better still give one back! You have the pace and skill to beat a man so do it. You do not have many chances left surely.

Comments

  • Palace seem to think along with Primus Youga was one of our better players on the night
  • Steve Brown seemed impressed with Youga. Ambrose hasn't really played so needs time. Can't really defend the other two.

I wasn't there but a Palace fan in here who was thought we were woeful but that the back four was our best aspect last night

Played semi-pro so he knows his stuff
  • Thought Crainey and Youga did OK, but the boo boys have them on their list now so they'll never do anything right. The issue last night, for me, wasn't really one of individual performances: we played the wrong tactics. Nobody turned in a great shift
  • From the couple of people who went who I've spoken to on the phone, it seems that most players put the effort in but our tactics invited Palace to put us under pressure - we seemed to be clueless breaking forward and couldn't effectively retain posession.

Doesn't sound like lack of effort - but deffo lack of nous against a workaholic side who were wired up and fired up by their manager.

    Which begs the question .......

  • Which begs the question .......

Is the question "Why play a 4-5-1 with a dwarf up front and then lump it long"

or was it "What does Crainey have that Moo2 doesn't"

or "Who gave Andy Gray the touch of Jason Euell?"

or "Why can't Youga pass the ball very well"

So many questions yet all we hear is "We battled well, it was always going to be tight, we had a gameplan"
  • Sam's better with moo2 sam likes to run and get players to overlap him
