I thought to myself whether or not to simply include my views on one of the several threads already on the go re last night. However this is such an important issue that I feel the subject needs a thread all on it's own, as my thoughts are not just about last night.
Crossing of the ball from wide postions.....we are for the most part useless at this very very important feature of the game.....and incredibly, despite an ever growing list of varying wingers/wide midfielders (or whatever you choose to call them) over the last few seasons the situation continues to be lamentable. Is this feature of the game a dying art or is it just the case with The Addicks?
I don't know what we can do to improve this shocking weakness as if you're a seasoned pro this part of your game should be almost second nature and I doubt it's something that can be coached into a player...maybe I'm wrong on that but that's how I see it..
I lost count last night of wayward and missplaced crosses....it became almost laughable in the end!

very true. the cross for their goal was very gd though as much as it hurts to admit it. there corners also looked threatening.
how many corners don't clear the 1st man ?
And how many times did Luke win a header and flick it on to .......erm............himself ?
