I dont think ZZ is fit but would expect to see Ambrose and Shelvey in for Bouazza and Sam with Ambrose playing on the right, a tighter 3 in midfield with Holland playing the deeper role and Varney making wide runs from a central position.
ZZ isn't fit, I'd drop Sam or Bouazza neither of whom had any end product on Saturday and start off playing 451 - Varney out wide and Ambrose playing off Gray
i think it has to be a 4 5 1 tonight, they will be up for it, if we conced early could be another blackpool/scunny on our hands. really thought the reading game was the turning point how wrong am i !!! Keep it tight tonight be up for the scrap and we could nick somthing, would make the opening to our season mildly better, defeat however and with Forest away on saturday could easily see us just above the relegation places come 6pm saturday night. 2 wins however would put us right back up there in the shake up just yet again shows you what a tight league this will be again.

If ZZ's not fit then this sounds the best shout. Let's hope Pardew reads this board!
I disagree with any formation that plays a player out of position, dear oh dear some people never learn. As soon as players play out of position they are completely in-effective. Bailey who has been our best player this season, played out of position at Preston, not involved in the game. Talk of Shelvey & Varney out wide...sorry not for me. I have no problem with changing formation or having a plan 'B' but please no trying to put square pegs in round holes, what next Fortune at Centre Forward ?

Agree in principle but think Moo2 right midfield could be worth a punt instead of Sam. Personally I'd put Semedo behind him at right back but Pards will probably go for Crainie again.
all out attack cos the clowns at full back aren't good enough to defend....
it's doncaster ffs we should go and try and dominate them from the off on the front foot
or has it really come down to being happy with a point against em and midtable obscurity at best...
no way we should be pushing for promotion it's the the 2 year plan coming into fruition
I don't agree that Varney out wide is out of position for him, he tends to do well there and is better at getting crosses into the box than our wingers.
Why drop Holland? I am not saying we will finish top six but I am very doubtful we could if we really on Holland much, we need players who do things in a game not just keept it neat and tidy.
I like the idea of Dicko and Varns but would it be like Lita and Varns- Didnt work as they both do all the running and would need to create their own goals!
The right side looks a bit suspect defensivly with both Ambrose and Moo2 so I'd go for either Semedo or Cranie at right back.
I'd stick with Gray up front becasue we need someone that can hold the ball up and bring Ambrose/ZZ into play. I'd also stick with Varney for now because I think that we need to get the front 2 to gel and he deserves a run of games.
I'm not convinced by Shelvey on this seasons performances so unless ZZ is fit, might as well stick with Holland.
If you can't play 4-4-2 agaisnt scunny then you might as well give up!
Weaver
Cranie (cuase everybody deserves a second chance), Hudson, Fortune, Basey
Ambrose, Holland Bailey, Bouazza (cause he can do damage with his speed, just needs to be told that he should make the right decisions)
Varney Gray
Elliot, Youga, Moutakil, Dickson, ZZ (unless really not fit, then Primus)
One of the positives on Saturday was that when we counter attacked we looked dangerous, moving with speed and purpose, however we then made the wrong decisions. The difference between Reading and Wolves is that v Reading we played going forward as a team against Wolves we played as individuals.

well he did start his career as a centre forward :-)
Youga and Moto kil are classic wing backs.
Who mentioned Shelvey out wide?

Pardew made too many changes last season IMHO and to gel the side needs continuity.

Matty and Bailey make a very good partnership the only player i'd replace him with is Racon when fit.
Moo2 Fortune Hudson Basey
Ambrose Bailey ZZ/Holland Bouazza
Dickson Varney

Disagree. Holland is a good player to have on the bench not got enough for 90 mins in this league now.
