Donny v Charlton 16th Sept

edited September 2008 in General Charlton
Hi,

My name is Andy . I am the landlord of the Fitzwilliam Arms in Doncaster DN1 3RH.
The pub is only 15min max walk from the Keepmoat Stadium.
I have a large, secure car park off Oxford Place, (Free), and if informed in advance can accommodate up to 4 coaches as well as cars. (Need reg & Coach company name to inform local constabulary in case of any re-routing; they will guide you here if necessary with prior warning)

The pub is also only 5-10min max walk from the railway station towards the ground. see link below:

We offer a friendly atmosphere a good pint, and great food, in pleasant surroundings away from the immediate town centre.
Let me know if fans have an interest in stopping off here and we can make all necessary arrangements to make it a good visit (Result dependent).

Suggestion when travelling: Do not follow main game traffic getting off at junction 3 M18. Go to A1M Junction 36 and take the turning for Doncaster, The pub is on an estate off the same road (A630) just on the edge of town centre (In the middle of the high rise flats)

No offence mate, but from that description it sounds awful!
    ;o)

Love your marketing strategy though, so sincerely hope that all 14 of our travelling fans decide to stop by and pay you a visit.
  • Got to admit it does sound awful!!!, but you have to visit to understand we are like a lost oasis, we have a friendly atmosphere and do not accept any over unruly nonesense.

Oh come on, a boozer in the middle of a high rise estate? As the fella admits, it does sound like it could be a bit dodge, but I'm sure it's probably fine and the guvnor is clearly a friendly sort.

Micky Walker ....... I remember him running Valley Away. I travelled away matches on Valley Away for a couple of seasons until I switched to Lewis's because most of my mates were using them.

Edit: should have said that was our relegation season 1971-72 and first 3rd Division season the next year.
  • Leaving now for Donny, come on you reds!!!!!!
  • Did anyone on here go in this pub?

Got dropped off at the ground and went straight into the away end for a couple of beers
