Was at the O2 last night to watch the master at work. Was a little nervous, having missed him the last time he toured the UK, that Mr. Stevland Hardaway Morris, would not have the same impact now that he is in his late fifties.
But perhaps I should have had more faith, as last nights concert was easily the best one I have ever been to, bar none.
Being a fan anyway probably makes me a little biased, but having just been through almost three hours of sheer and unadulterated quality from start to finish, I doubt if I will ever be that emotionally charged after another concert.
What helps is that it has rounded off a fortnight of celebrations for my family and it couldn't have been better had it been scripted.
