Keeps on being reported that he is about to resume training - could follow in a long line of leading non players, Gary Poole, Cory Gibbs - although he has at least made a few appearances
Let's not forget what he has had go wrong with him, ACL twice?! I've had got a knackered cartilage in one knee and that retired me and apparantlly that is a little girls injury compared to rupturing a ligament let alone a cruciate or alterior (spelling?) cruciate so fair one on the management and him not risking it. Probably fair to say they would rather not risk him or announce he is fit until he is is 110%
Carter - its 'anterior' - and yes, it is a ****er. Tore mine playing american football (of all things) when I was sixteen. That was eighteen years ago now and its STILL painful if I twist in certain directions. I carried on playing (regualr football - couldn't stand the stresses of a serious contact sport after that), but I've never got beyond about 90% of fitness. When I did it, I passed out (only about 30 seconds apparently), was violentely sick after coming round and screamed and wept like a little girl. Quite simply the most excruciating pain you could ever imagine. I am absolutely astounded when players come back from a torn ACL to play ANY sport at ANY level of professionalism - modern surgeons are miracle workers.
If Toddy comes back he could change the season as he is the sort of player that is capable of turning games but after his history of injuries I fear the worst
he has done his anterior (acl) in both knees i understand and something else as well the last time, plus he will have cartilage damage in both. These operations even when done by top notch surgeons with immediate physio will never recover the knee to 100%.
if you have done your acl and not had a repair and continue to play sport you will destroy your knee and be half crippled at an early causing arthritic damage to the joint and cartilage.
This is because the acl stops your joint from moving front to back too much which in turn causes wear on the the soft tissue and bone - I know this because I've done same and had 3 operations on my right knee for acl repair and about 2 years of physio.
:)
big mistake to keep him over Big Chris, but then I said that at the time.
I've just seen a top specialist and I've been told that after 6-12 months I can go back to play my normal sports (football/snowboarding). I've just torn mine though and apparently there's enough holding on to be strong?
yes I tore mine total snap gone plus other damage the idea of having a graft from patella or hamstring I've had both the former on the nhs failed is so u can play sport again but it may not be 100%+

Do you mean a complete rupture or a tear as well?
(sorry for the non cafc content)
