with all the upheaval in the squad its gonna take a bit of time to settle, so hopefully it will improve and before morale drops further - not sure we have enough goals/supply in us to stay out of a relegation fight though, but would love to be wrong.
On the brightside a defeat will encorage the board to draft in some new blood asap. Now that Faye and Thomas are off the payroll we have freed some money up to get in a couple of players. A defender at least is now urgently required, Youga is suspended meaning we are down to four first team defenders.
Also Bailey appeared to play well.
On the downside, Fortune from the commentary didn't play well, Youga is suspended and Gray/Varney don't appear to have developed any empathy.
I guess that where I was coming from was that he'd not had long to settle into a squad that had been shuffled a lot already. With Racon and Shelvey doing OK and Holland last year's player of the season I'd have started him on the bench for this game.

Yep of course...I meant Basey...
Anyway Racon off, Holland on...
go on Luke - make me look stoopid!
Dickson... to save a point... i reckon....
Konch howler just let Hull go 2-1 up.......
Come on Charlton...
this year different story .....
Need a centre back soon though.
Lisbie scored another 1
Even Charlie Macdonald scored 2 for Brentford (Curbs let him go though)
1st half, apart from decent efforts from Bouazza and Racon, it seemed we just went through the motions.
We conceded a typical Watford route 1 goal.
But where was Jonny Fortune when Poom lumped it up? - Fortune let it bounce and Smith was away, finishing neatly.
Forch ......concentrate, man!
Bailey seemed well involved after a quiet start.
Pleased with the 2nd half performance though, but we did sound a bit toothless despite having 3 forwards on the park for the last 20 mins.

.................
Who knows what the deal is, but at least most of his wages are now off the books.
We do have ZZ to return...
I think the best we can hope for is cover (which we do need) which i doubt will be better than Fortune let alone on a par with Hudson.
It'll be interesting to see what he does bring in though.
was it value and did we suffer from the cup exit?
Pardew will bring in crap, just like all his other signings.
