I believe it was EGAddick that first raised this, but i think he may be off the mark here.
Despite being born in Woolwich, i don't believe he has any real affection towards the club. He moved north at a very young age, and has built his life up there. He owns most of the leisure complexes on Blackpool seafront.
Yes, he does have a small holding in Charlton. But he also does in a number of other clubs, and were bought largely around 10 years ago when it was felt that football club shares had better growth potential than they fulfilled.
Whatever happened to Addickted.net? Went on there today and nobody has posted since March. We've had the new league, new season but there was never a new website. Seems odd.
Dan got too busy with Breamteam and other ventures that he never got round to doing the site in the end. Went downhill anyway...very immature towards the end. A lot of the decent posters have moved over to here anyway.

Must say, i 've always thought that. If his family are as loaded as is thought then you'd think he must be a bit embarrassed in the boardroom when their all discussing how to get out of the next mess. What about Maurice Hatter? I've always wondered why he is Life president. Might be a great guy who's done something marvellous, but does anybody know what?

He's a major funder of the club, along with the others still on the board, but he didn't seek to be a director at the outset and hence was recognised in another way.
In a similar way, Michael Grade didn't want to be a director but became one to assist the club's credibility to investors when it went public.

Or at least they did when I was a kid.
