Dowie - Reed Relationship

This has been mentioned on several other threads but I thought it might be an idea to give it its own thread.

During the first 15 games I noticed on TV, where the dugout is often shown in close up, that whenever Dowie was shown he always talked and reacted to Robson and never to Reed, Reed always seemed to be in the background and it looked more as if Robson was Dowie's Assistant???????

that's because reed always sat up in the stand, like Curbs did occassionaly and Peacock always did.

If you stand in the dugouts at Charlton, you can't see a thing.

AFKA we do play at other grounds where Reed was in the dug out and was ignored by Dowie.

But he used to wear that headset, I presumed that LR was on the other end of it, and was sat in the stands somewhere...
