If Thomas were to leave, what about getting Dyer in on a free??

Had his problems but a good player by all accounts.

SOUTHAMPTON winger Nathan Dyer has been ordered to train separately from the first-team squad after turning down the club's offer of a new contract.
The 20-year-old is now a free agent and is on a week-to-week deal while he considers his options.
Head coach Jan Poortvliet said: "We need players who are happy to be here and whose heart is with Southampton."
Earlier this month Dyer was charged with burglary after an incident at a Portsmouth nightclub.

He'll still attract a fee though, won't he? Due to his age, like.

Isn't he likely to be banged up? Surely nobody will touch him until they know the length of the sentence.

Why sign a player who's likely to be jailed?
