Season Ticket sales :12,354

probaly add another thousand yet to be processed, so 13500 for deffinate. Think we will be looking at an average crowd of just under 20 thousand for the season, sell outs for palarse and brum and reading ect and the london derbys, think it will be more like 17 to 18 for the lesser games. Big gaps in the ground next term expect the school kids to be turning up in droves!!

  • I asked my Dad about Sales & he reckons we are down about 1,000-1,500 compared to the same stage last year. Baring in mind we had 17,000 S/T holders last year we should easily clear 15,000 this time around. So all in all after the shocking season we had last year not bad at all & better than what the club could reasonably expect.
  • With you there Ketters...

not ideal but way better than i could have been....
  • There was always going to be a drop. I expect another 1500/2000 will get new season tickets. It is only middle of June. So that would bring us upto near 15k which isn't too bad.
  • haevnt bought mine yet - bit skint at the moment and will leave it right up to the last minute!
  • I havent got mine yet. I wanted to change seat so I'll just get a new seat now but havent decided exactly where yet. I just couldnt take the woman next to me who spends the whole game complaining that the referees all hate charlton and the bloke in front of me who stank of booze all game, was always half cut and always walked in front of me to use the toilet when it was quicker the other way!
  • Its not just last year is it ? Its the last two years of Curbs where we saw some awful stuff, then religation after signing some ofthe worst players ever to wear the shirt and then Pardews "pick aplayer out the hat" rotation policy.

If we can keep the adverage crowd ubove 20,000 next year we have done well.

    i'll second that
  • With the prices of your season tickets, and the offer of a free season ticket next year if you get promoted , you must be mad not to renew in my opinion.

Well I am not mad then. X 3!
  • Certainly agree with Mortain - Any other reason than have not got the dosh then its pretty well plastic label on jacket time.

  • If we get off to a decent start, I can see many more coming - especially if they offer a "second half" deal.
  • Season tickets are unsurprisingly something a bit close to my heart, I genuinely think as both GH and AFKA have said if we get 20,000 each game we'll have done absolutely great then a couple of sell outs will help us even more.

If you love Charlton, you'll do it! And I do not work there any more, just want to see our club bounce back as a bit of a fan!
  • A 'bit of a fan', errrrm Ian old son, I'd put you up there with the best of 'em.
  • Norwich have sold out their 20,000 season ticket allocation which is impressive.
  • Not going to deny that for one moment but there is little or no competition in their neck of the woods.
  • Very fan related club though and very hot on listening to their customer base - their Chairman was responsible for instigating the National Fans Survey having piloted it there - and the pies on Boxing Day were great!

And they have the Canary Express coach service that brings people to games on discounted coaches.

Why don't Charlton come up with ideas like that?
  • Somehow Mr H you know where they got the idea from - "sharing best practice" is the euphemism I believe! Although in fairness I do consider my previous oppo there a mate and was happy to provide a bit of advice - he knew his cut off point on the A12!

Bit like the Millwall Fans director tapping me up on the same subject and then a month later denying it had anything to do with CHarlton and their bus service was nothing like Charlton's as they would only be bringing back lapsed fans.
  • Millwall !!! was the bus coming from Belmarsh then ?

  • I've said this an another thread but as it is related here it is again!

Firstly our ST went on sale a lot later than other clubs, secondly a lot of the teams we are being comparing with have little on no competion for fans in the area they are located. Brizzle.....people have the choice of 2 possible 3 teams nearby. Norwich...same again. We have to compete for fans with a lot of other London teams. In short....don't be too down about it. There's plenty of time as fans have until August 1 to get their ST. Lets compare things after 1 August. :-)
  • Ticket sales were always going to be down on last year even with the reasonable cost and the free ticket for next year deal. It is obvious that we will be able to pick our games and get a ticket especially for folk like me who are in Valley Gold. It's a shame but reality!

A couple of really good signings could change everything though and could see a late rush, we'll see
  • I have just renewed, now the fixtures are out, it had ot be done.
