What, after our impressive 3-0 win away from home at Reading on Saturday 9th August, I dont think so.

me neither but it's close enough
  • [cite]Posted By: Goonerhater[/cite]OOOOahh why would you want to sing that then ?

i wont sing it but we have fans that sing it to most opposition fans
  • Must be odds on that we will be knocked out in the first round then we can just concerntrate on the league!
  • I wonder if Old Bexleian Matthew Rose has signed a contract extension with Yeovil?
  • Cov v Aldershot would be my bet for a televised game or Exeter v Saints.
  • It'll probably be the first game I'll have seen since the Palace relegation match. Can't make the Saturday before even though I'll be in England. Hopefully there will be a couple more midweek games during August as I am busy on three of the weekends. Then it's back to Phuket for a long, busy high season (I hope!).

I wont be eating my daily banana for breakfast that day, no point in eating two in one day and leaving an extra skin to slip up on!
  • I guess many on here, not OohAaah ;o), will be hoping it's a draw - so they can see the replay at a new ground,

Aren't Carling cup games settled on the night?

I would have prefered Yeovil away. Not that far from sunny Southampton.

  • hmmm great... what a boring draw! was hoping for a seaside game or at least something away, maybe a new ground, trying to squeeze in as many as i can before i leave - we never get good draws!

unfortunately oggy it's an extra time and pens scenario
  • You two are right, of course.....damn!
    Thanks SA & ISaw.

Yeovil away would have been a new ground for me - and just about everybody else, I guess.

Still, the eternal optimist in me thinks we can play them in the Prem in 3 years time ;o)
  • Alright Charlton, Yeovil fan here

Nice to come back to your place after our FA Cup exploits a few years back. Top day out and your lot seemed like a good bunch. Unfortunately we were playing nice football under Gary Johnson then and things have changed a little...

Can't see us turning you over tbh, although we did beat Ipswich at their place a couple of seasons ago so never say never. Head says 3-1 to your lot.

As far as attendance goes - we've got a few Capital based Glovers added to the Somerset faithful - yeah, we're probably looking at 500ish.

Any information of one of your old boys, Kieran Murtagh? Heard he was highly rated and that Fulham were sniffing after him. We've just signed him up so you should see him that night...

JohnBoy - Matthew Rose is, um, out of contract, we think. Our official communication is so poor we have no idea what our players are doing. We're pretty sure no-one else has bought him though... Still a very decent player, but fairly slow and was rather injury prone last season (along with most of our squad unfortunately).

GL for your Champ season and roll on the fixture list Monday!

    Cheers all

    Green T

    .........

Welcome, but why be so pessimistic, let's see how the season starts first.
  • Thanks for the welcome BFR

Oh, I dunno. Being one of the bookies' favourites to go down, rumours of infighting between the board and the boss, the fact that we lost to Hereford 4-1 last year, it being the close season....

What do you reckon to your lot? I see the bookies reckon playoffs/mid table - perhaps you need some billionaires a la QPR?

Tell you what, if we beat Leeds and Leicester* the first 2 games of the season, then I might be more optimistic. How about us losing on pens? ;)

    Green T

*I know the fixtures aren't out yet, but we always start away and usually to a northern team...
